PLAYS IN THE ROUND:
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT WHY NOT CONTACT RAY GREGORY.
Rays' plays, it seems, are unusual for reasons such as:
a) they are in verse, but rely a great deal of movement and energy in performance;
b) they are all written for the round, and are not suitable for any other kind of staging;
c) they are all for playing on simple, often bare acting areas;
d) they require no special effects, or anything but ordinary room lighting.
In short, they cost almost nothing to put on, but do require acting groups, interested in working in the round, and adventurous and keen to get away from the standard accoutrements of theatre, and so create a much closer and more enlivening actor-audience relationship. For such groups, these plays offer ideal material.
For a catalogue of Rays plays please e-mail him at greg@rggregory.com
