We are a drama academy in Cardiff West and offer classes in Sully, Radys, Pontypridd and Lantrisant.

 The classes focus on the development of young people, through dynamic and curriculum-driven drama classes.

With 45 years of global expertise, our award-winning approach ensures students acquire invaluable life skills.

• Every child is unique and at Drama Kids Cardiff West all of our students are treated equally and given the opportunity to shine, regardless of their level of confidence or ability.

Our teachers interact with the students in an energetic and engaging way to capture their students’ attention and encourage creativity. We aim to make our hour-long sessions an exciting and fun-packed environment for students where they are able to develop social interaction and communication skills, engage creatively and express themselves confidently, both physically and vocally. 

• Class Structure

Our specially written curriculum and specialist teacher training ensures our students have a balanced, fun-filled lesson every week.

Although the structure remains the same each week, each lesson is different and, with the different age groups offered, a child can join the Academy at five years of age and stay until they are 18 without ever repeating a lesson.

• Age groups cover:

Primary – 5 to11 years
Youth Theatre – 12 years plus

Venues and Days:

• Monday: Bridgend. Primary age group 5-6pm, at Westward Community Centre
• Tuesday: Pontypridd. Primary age group, 4:30-5:30pm, at Taff Meadow Community Centre
• Thursday: Radyr. Lower Primary ages 5-8, 4:30-5:30pm, Upper Primary ages 8-11, 5:30-6;30pm, Youth Theatre ages 11-18 6:30-7:30pm at Radyr Methodist Church Hall.
• Friday: Sully. Primary age group 5-6pm, Youth Theatre ages 11-18, at Sully Old School
• Saturday: Llantrisant. Lower Primary ages 5-8, 10-11am, Upper Primary ages 8-11, 11am-12pm, Youth Theatre ages 11-18, 12-1pm, at Penygawsi Community Centre.
